Annual Seattle Festivals

• January: Seattle Boat Show, where more than 1,500 boat events take place each year
• February: Improvised Music Festival, a particularly noteworthy event showcasing many prominent musicians who perform freeform music to large audiences
• May: Annual World Rhythm Festival, held each year during the month of May, known for being the world's largest festival of its kind
• May to June: Seattle International Film Festival, screening almost 200 feature film and various central cinemas and venues in the city

• July: ATandT Family Fourth at Lake Union, held each year on July 4th, with many additional events throughout the city



• July: July 4th, extravagant firework display above Lake Union, visible from all over the city. Parks and waterfront establishments teem with eager crowds and aromatic barbecues
• July: Ballard Seafood Fest, known for its freshly caught fish and local dishes
• September: Bumbershoot, taking place each September at the Seattle Center, including films, theater events, live music and dancing
